The restaurant was part of an Okemos-based chain with outposts in several cities in Michigan's Lower Peninsula, including Grand Rapids, East Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Midland. The downtown Detroit location opened in 2016 as the chain's sixth location. It featured a 4,400-square-foot interior with seating for 145 and an outdoor patio, offering sushi rolls, hibachi grills, and small plates like fire cracker shrimp and ceviche.
