"At a temporary Ballard pop-up in the empty Ballard Blossom building, I watched Vincent outfit a Zuri’s Donutz section at 1766 NW Market Street—painting walls and bringing in decor like a marble counter doughnut display—as he expands to attract Ballard foot traffic. I’m told the Ballard menu will showcase his inventive doughnuts, including dulce de leche, a “Wood Bourbon”–inspired option, a Girl Scout–topped variety called “Scoutz Honor,” and a flaming s’mores flavor called “Smore pleaze,” and he also plans to sell his cakes, coffee, milk, and more goodies; after staffing up, the plan is to operate the pop-up on weekends so locals know “Hey, it’s Friday, Zuri’s open.”" - Adele Chapin
