"Opening tonight at 4 p.m. at Downtown's Golden Nugget, the 6,180-square-foot Saltgrass Steak House (Landry’s) offers chicken, seafood, char-grilled beef and a 10-hour slow-roasted prime rib; its menu highlights Certified Angus Beef steaks char-grilled on an open flame, seasoned with Saltgrass 7-steak spice and topped with garlic butter. I saw that highlighted dishes include barbecue baby back ribs, country fried steak, and the Chicken Laredo — a marinated chicken breast topped with pepper jack cheese, avocado, grilled onions, tomatoes, and poblano peppers. The restaurant partially debuted in June with only the lounge open, and now the full dining room is available; the dining area features bar-top games, high tops, regular seating and 23 televisions for sports.
