"One of the city’s biggest food events, the Austin Food & Wine Festival, is happening again this fall from Friday, November 4 through Sunday, November 6; I note the main festival will be full of tastings, fire pits, demonstrations, and wine/beer samples and that the full chef lineup is very heavy on Austin chefs, has a good showing of San Antonio chefs, very few Dallas chefs, one Lubbock chef, and no Houston chefs. The festival — which typically took place in April but shifted to November as of 2021 after pandemic-related delays — includes chef demonstrations (where attendees don’t necessarily get to eat the food) and competitions like Rock Your Taco, and tickets are on sale now (single-day and VIP passes appear sold out, while weekend and all-in passes are still available)." - Nadia Chaudhury
