"Planned to open later this year in an 11,000-square-foot development in Parc-Extension on Beaumont Avenue near Acadie, Beau Mont will operate as a daytime café and light-meal spot with a small boutique grocery counter selling higher-end meat, seafood and other Quebec products and some take-out options; Laprise describes it as a “showcase for artisans.” By night it will shift to a more formal service positioned halfway between Toqué and Brasserie T, focusing on simple dishes that highlight local produce without Toqué’s full-scale formal atmosphere, and the very open space will be dominated by a production kitchen that will also service the Place-des-Arts Brasserie T. Laprise and Lamarche are joined in the expansion by partners including former Google CFO Patrick Pichette and supplier-turned-partner Doug Harpur." - Tim Forster
