"For many of the millennials born and raised in Charlotte, Mama Ricotta’s, circa 1992, may be the food of their childhood, reminding them of the lucky school nights that they got to eat out. It’s old-school Italian American here with thin-crust pizza and chicken parm, but the pasta is the main draw, particularly the penne alla vodka with crispy pancetta and the quadruple cheese ravioli. For the most part, Mama Ricotta’s remains loyal to carbs, but the house chopped salad is decked out in veggies.
