"A highly lauded French fine-dining restaurant from Tony Esnault and Yassmin Sarmadi that will close when its lease expires at the end of August; the owners chose not to renew so they can focus on opening a new South Coast Plaza project. The space, tucked deep inside a Downtown LA building and therefore somewhat hard to spot from the street, featured a glorious atrium and tastefully elegant decor. After being announced in 2012, the restaurant finally opened in 2016 and, following a slow unveiling, earned strong critical praise including a high placement on Jonathan Gold’s 101 list and other solid reviews before running for roughly two-and-a-half years." - Matthew Kang
