"Created by chef Steve Brown, an Imperial Beach native, Cosecha SD will become the permanent home of his roving fine-dining pop-up in a speakeasy-style, non-traditional space at The Keating Hotel. Only open five nights a week, it will offer a 16-course tasting menu booked in advance online that highlights seasonal produce from Wild Willow and Agua Dulce Farms, foraged ingredients, local seafood, and Japanese A5 Wagyu beef. Diners will use a dedicated entrance accessed from Fifth Avenue, ascend a grand staircase to a bar for wine pairings or cocktails, and watch the team tray-pass the first three courses from a reception area with a view into the glassed-in kitchen; seating is limited to 40 guests at two long tables directly in front of the plating area so Brown and his staff can stage a true "dinner and show," and Brown has been open about his Michelin ambitions.
