"A popular Lynwood doughnut shop has opened a new U District location on the corner of Roosevelt Way and NE 45th Street, not far from Sharetea. Known for decadent fritters, cinnamon rolls, crobars (a flaky croissant–doughnut hybrid), and Instagram-worthy ice cream sandwiches drenched in Fruity Pebbles and other colorful toppings, the shop just revealed a collaboration with Westlake Center cookie dough purveyors Sugar Spoon Dough: a new concoction with cookie dough and Oreo crumbles sandwiched between two glazed doughnut halves. Owner Mark Sapatin told Eater Seattle the team will play around with shaping doughnuts into U’s and W’s for Huskies fans, using ube to get the purple color right. The new spot seats about 15–20, offers espresso from Pegasus Coffee, plans ice cream floats for summer, and is currently open daily from 5am–10pm." - Gabe Guarente
