"Added to an expanding nationwide recall tied to a California grower, this grocery chain had certain red, white, yellow and sweet onions — and some dips, spreads and other prepared foods that may contain them — included after shipments since May 1 were linked to a salmonella outbreak that has sickened more than 900 people across the U.S. and Canada. Customers are advised to check purchases for recalled onions, discard any potentially contaminated items, and thoroughly sanitize surfaces; when ordering at restaurants, ask whether menu items contain the affected onions." - Jenny G.
