"I discovered a new, low-key destination for ramen fans on the westside serving a compact menu of Japanese favorites almost directly across from Palace Station. It occupies 1,432 square feet at the Paseo Plaza, neighboring Soho Sushi Burrito, the Hawaiian menu of Maui Rose, and the former home of Landry’s Seafood House, and offers both counter-service and table seating. Appetizers include $5 takoyaki, $6 fried baby octopus, $5 chicken karaage, and $6 soft shell crab. All ramen bowls are $8.50 with a choice of tonkotsu, shoyu, miso, or vegetable bases and chashu, chicken breast, or tofu proteins prepared at spice levels ranging from “zero” up to “super spice.” Extra toppings and rice bowls can upgrade any meal, and hot sake is available in $4 and large $7 servings. It is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Bradley Martin
