"Union Bear Brewing, Plano’s newest spot for a pint of craft beer and pub fare, has officially made its debut. The brewery and restaurant kicked open the doors at The Boardwalk in Granite Park on Wednesday. The space, located at 5880 State Highway 121, occupies 7,250 square feet indoors, and boasts a 3,000 square foot patio that will offer popular bar games like bocce ball and shuffleboard, along with its very own hole at which golfers can practice their putts. Chef Sean Sanders will serve up a menu of pretty standard pub fare, including sliders, a fried chicken sandwich, flatbreads, and a patty melt. Union Bear’s own line of brews, including a blonde ale, white IPA, and stout, will be on offer at the bar, along with more beers on tap, whiskeys, and wines by the glass or bottle. Union Bear Brewing is now open for dinner service only, starting at 4 p.m. The restaurant will begin lunch service on January 8, starting at 11 a.m." - Amy McCarthy
