"A decade-old Uptown gastropub known for brews, whiskey cocktails and comfort food like grilled cheese is closing its Uptown location after lease-renewal talks stalled and the building was deemed in need of significant repairs; the Uptown spot’s last day is January 26. The owner group says the Frisco outpost will remain in operation and they hope to relocate elsewhere in Dallas. In its final week the Uptown location staged celebratory events — including a Friday “see ya later on” party with DJ Joel Salazar and taps featuring some of the best beers from the cooler — and is remembered as a small-house neighborhood spot serving honest food, thoughtfully chosen wine and an award-winning beer selection." - Adele Chapin
