"With locations all over the country, Del Frisco’s is a fully-fledged chain restaurant—but it started in Dallas and still serves reliably good steaks, so ignore it at your own peril. Walk past the two-story chandelier, dramatic staircase, and glass wine display to soak up some of that Uptown glitz, then settle into a table or high-backed booth. We like the 45-day dry-aged strip with just the right amount of marbling, and the deeply meaty bone-in filet—both cooked to a perfect medium-rare, unless you mistakenly ask for a higher temp. Potatoes come five different ways here, so add the crisp fries or the potatoes au gratin layered with melty cheese and salty bacon." - kevin gray
