"This Hollywood cafe serves nine Italian sandwiches that range from good to not-quite-worth $17. The simpler sandwiches are the best. We like the il classico toscano, which comes with prosciutto, tomatoes, basil, and a restrained portion of burrata that doesn’t end up all over your face. That’s not the case with the more complicated sandwiches. The giardiniera and mortadella sandwich comes with a giardiniera that’s too chunky, so you’re harassed by carrot chunks every third bite. And slippery peaches nosedive out of the seasonal sandwich upon first bite. Still, the quality of the cold cuts and cured meats here is high, and the little cafe makes for a fine lunch break or Sunday sandwich run if you live nearby. We can’t vouch for all of the drinks, but we can confirm that the matcha is watery and sad. So maybe stick to coffee." - Ryan Pfeffer
