"Lower Manhattan isn’t the only place to get afancy matcha. There’s also Sieve Cafe in Ridgewood, and you don’t even have to line up for it. The relatively mellow matcha shop, which briefly went viral, serves matcha and hojicha lattes, strawberry matcha tonics, and, our favorite drink on the menu, the banana cream matcha latte. It’s topped with a housemade banana cream, made with banana and condensed milk, and it tastes like the real thing—more banana bread than banana Laffy Taffy. The very beige, very plain interior isn't the optimal place for an extended hang, but if you live in the area and you’re looking for matcha that’s not just a green-tinged cup of milk, Sieve is the spot." - Willa Moore
