"Sunday Bake Shop is a Hatagaya institution. They’re known for their English-style desserts, like jam-filled Victoria sponge cake and tender scones, and also make fresh carrot cake, brownies, and a particularly excellent coconut dream cake that’s topped with a layer of crunchy, caramelized shredded coconut. It can get crowded on the weekends with a line out the door, so try going right when they open or during an off-time in the late afternoon. If you are able to snag a seat in the small space, enjoy flipping through their collection of art and picture books in between bites of cake." - Kiera Wright-Ruiz
