"When La Petite Colombe opened in Franschhoek we had a hunch it would be a home-run (it’s from the same team behind La Colombe in Cape Town). Located on the Leeu Estates wine farm, the restaurant occupies a stunning space with ceramic vases and jugs on display and windows that look onto the sculpture garden and distant mountains. The tasting menu is classic fine dining at its best: delicate plates with carefully arranged ingredients, like coal-roasted lamb with celeriac and seared yellowfin tuna with coconut. At the end of the meal they wheel out a wooden cart filled with chocolate bars, orange truffles, Turkish delights, and ginger gummies. photo credit: Andrea van der Spuy photo credit: Andrea van der Spuy photo credit: Andrea van der Spuy photo credit: Andrea van der Spuy Pause Unmute" - Mary Holland
