"Anyone who liked sipping cocktails while soaking in a seagull’s-eye-view of Venice Beach might still be mourning the loss of the High Rooftop Lounge at Hotel Erwin. But here’s the good news: Kassi has taken over, and it’s pretty much just High Lounge with hummus. And that’s not a slight. The main reason everyone rides the hotel’s creaky elevators to the roof is to soak in the 360-degree views—and those haven’t changed a bit. Plus, now you get to snack on decent Greek food while doing it. And by Greek food, we mean things tourists might eat on a rooftop in Mykonos—whipped avocado dip, watermelon salad, and skewers. Take any visiting friends or family who want to see the ocean up for a drink, and leave knowing you aced the assignment.
