"This South Bay chain is famous for two things: its $3 fish taco special on Wednesdays (available weekly, except during Lent) and its sautéed spicy yellow peppers dusted with chile powder available for free at the salsa bar. We love that the fish tacos here come with hulking battered filets (tilapia or halibut, depending on the season) so substantial that wrapping the soft corn tortillas around them is like swaddling an offensive lineman in a toddler blanket. Ensenada’s is also one of the few spots that lets you swap flour tortillas for the more traditional corn, which is especially tasty on their signature Baja taco loaded with half shrimp, half fish." - Garrett Snyder
