"You’ll find Colina in the downstairs of Fort Road Hotel, one of Margate’s swisher seafront places to stay. With that in mind, it’s not massively surprising that this all-day southern European restaurant feels like a sharing plates restaurant you might find in Shoreditch. There’s tasteful mahogany furniture, a changing blackboard, and a room of people who are, let’s face it, mostly down from London. It’s a little higher priced than other Margate restaurants and all things told, isn’t totally worth it. Simple dishes like risotto or patatas bravas can be criminally under-seasoned so observe your surroundings (the seaside) and stick to what feels best (seafood). A bowl of fresh clams or a plate of anchovy taglierini are wise moves. photo credit: Colina photo credit: Colina photo credit: Colina" - Jake Missing
