"Island Vibes is a mostly takeout Jamaican spot in Hapeville where the portions are humongous and the scotch bonnet runs heavy. So this spot works when you need a heavy lunch or a quick dinner that feeds more than one. Locals trickle in all day, grabbing takeout. A few take their savory goat curry to the small seating area. It all works as long as you make sure to have a shot of milk on standby when you order their very spicy jerk chicken plate. Some of the items, like the crispy fried whole red snapper, are made to order but well worth the 20 minute wait.
