"Let’s get one thing straight: there is absolutely no reason to stand in long, slow-moving queues manned by a bouncer for fried potatoes. Just go to Heertji Friet. If there is a queue, it will be short, and, unlike at some of the other spots in town, there’s actually room to eat here. Most importantly, however, their hand-cut batches of potatoes are fried fresh, the fries are evenly-sized with zero hints of pale undercooking, and come with sauces like joppie, oorlog, and classic mayo-like frietsaus.
