"La Costilla Grill is tucked away in the food court of Plaza Fiesta on Buford Highway. They have a menu stuffed with mostly OK, flame-grilled Mexican staples. And they serve big family-style portions, so use this place when you want a big meal that could feed a family or stretch for several leftovers. Come on the weekend when they offer their pollo asado deal. For $27.99, you get a styrofoam container stuffed with an entire fire-roasted chicken as well as a salad, pint size containers of rice and beans, corn tortillas and a couple of salsas. The chicken can be a little dry so dunk it in the salsa verde to sauce it up and stuff it in those tortillas for a taco feast. The rib dinner comes with four meaty slabs, a hearty bean and sausage soup, rice, a bed of grilled onions, and tortillas. The ribs are decent, nothing that'll wow you, but they hold up great—still tender and juicy the next day—so it's a great deal and a lot of food for only $19.65. Food Rundown Pollo Asado Their whole chicken is a great deal for only $27.99. Our only complaint is the chicken can dry out on the grill, but they give you three different salsas to help moisten things up. photo credit: Starr Rivers Ribs The rib dinner gets you four meaty slabs that stay tender and juicy, a hearty bean and sausage soup, a bed of grilled onions, rice, and tortillas. You won't be wowed by these, but it's a lot of food for under $20. photo credit: Jacinta Howard Wings You can get these in six different flavors. Our favorite is the lemon pepper because they coat it thoroughly and you get a taste of the peppery seasoning with every bite. photo credit: Jacinta Howard" - Juli Horsford
