"Anyone who’s driven up 95 has undoubtedly noticed the evolution of high-rise developments dotting downtown New Rochelle, which has brought an influx of young professional people. And while longtime favorites like Alvin & Friends still hold up, Town House Kitchen & Drinks is part of a new wave of high-energy restaurants built for the incoming crowd. Town House relaunched in May 2024 after closing for some cosmetic changes to the space and the menu, and we think the food is even better this time around. Expect elevated execution of basics like salads, dips, and wings to start, then chicken under a brick or maybe a Mediterranean fish to follow. The prices are a little more gentle than comparable spots around Westchester, and we like dining on the first floor near the windows up front or at the bar running through the middle of the room. When the crowd is in full voice, Town House feels like the place where locals meet that next generation of Westchester as they start their night out. Note that parking nearby can be tough, but Town House had added valet on the weekends to ease your burden. photo credit: Tom McGovern" - Mike Wasserman
