"When you're wracked with eco-guilt after that flight you could have avoided, head to Frea—the do-gooder of Berlin’s fine dining scene. Frea promises “Full taste. Zero waste” with a three, four, or five-course vegan tasting menu so delicious it could turn even the staunchest meat eater. From the vegan fennel butter and bread from their bakery to the caramelised celeriac ice cream, each mouthful has enough flavour to power a data centre. Their in-house composting machine, Gersi, will even turn your leftovers (doubtful) into compost that’s then sent back to their suppliers.
