Owner Christian Mutschler is always on hand, recommending and serving, but also sharing stories about the eventful history of the place. The no-frills food is tasty, and most of the ingredients come from the region. The game dishes are definitely worth trying – made with game hunted by the owner, they could hardly be fresher or more seasonal. At lunchtime, meanwhile, the menu is significantly pared down.
