"Sitting on a beautiful, wide, rocky inlet that opens to the sea, Laphroaig smells of salt and sea fighting the peat smoke; I found it one of the prettiest distilleries on the island with small historic buildings and viewpoints over the bay, and the tour’s highlight for me was seeing the malting in progress and the peat fire filling the kiln. I also enjoyed Laphroaig 21 (smooth, light) and the Laphroaig Cask Strength 16 Year (really strong and very flavorful)." - Matthew Kepnes
