"I went with the Te Pa Tu tour (previously Tamaki Maori Village) and was thoroughly impressed; it's consistently rated not only as one of the best shows in the country but one of the best in the world. The experience provides an introductory look at Maori life, history, and culture, performed in a forest amphitheater and featuring seasonal ceremonies, other performances, and a traditional four-course meal. Cultural shows run roughly 3.5–4 hours, with performances several times a week (daily in the high season) starting at 6pm; tickets cost about 260 NZD per person." - Matthew Kepnes
