"The 19th-century townhouse that inspired L’Hôtel Particulier’s name is just about as centrally located as it gets — stick your head out the front door and that’s Bordeaux Cathedral at the end of the road on your left. The scale is small, just three rooms, two suites, and four apartments, all of them in a hybrid style that marries historical romance with contemporary energy; the original bedrooms, with their parquet floors, moldings, and marble fireplaces, perhaps most romantic of all.
