"Silverado Steak House at South Point will serve a four-course meal including a bottle of the wine of the month for every two people, available for $59 from 4 to 10 p.m. Dinner starts with a choice of Christmas chicken poppers wrapped in bacon and green chilies sautéed, crostini drizzled with red pepper cream, shrimp and scallops Rockefeller sautéed with Pernod in spinach cream sauce, or chilled shrimp cocktail with remoulade sauce. Next, diners pick cream of artichoke soup with Parmesan crisps or the Christmas salad with lollo rossa and green leaf lettuce, red and yellow grape tomatoes, and hearts of palm with Champagne vinaigrette. Entrée choices include herb-roasted young turkey with giblet gravy, apple and chestnut dressing, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, maple glazed ham and baked acorn squash with cranberry relish and green beans; blackberry filet of beef with prosciutto, spinach, and provolone cheese with blackberry wine deduction and sautéed mushroom caps served with roast chateau or whipped potatoes; or halibut Noël, poached with chardonnay, topped with crab and teardrop tomatoes, watercress cream sauce, and asparagus tips served with roast chateau or whipped potatoes.
