"This 4,500-square-foot all-day dining spot from Grupo Alfoz marks the group's expansion into the U.S. and highlights Argentina, Mexico, and Peru flavors; led by executive chef Kevin Acosta (formerly of Pura Vida and the Setai), I found the menu balances playful and traditional Latin American dishes — provoleta with grilled provolone, cherry tomatoes, and fruit vinegar; a beet arepa filled with pork carnitas and smoked gouda; cured fish toast on Sullivan Street sourdough with chive cream cheese and tangerine; a choripán sandwich with chorizo and aioli; picanha al fierro with chimichurri sauce; and shrimp chaufa with vegetables and sesame oil — and finishes with an in-house-made key lime tres leches.
