"If there’s one genre of cocktail that lends itself easily to over-the-top concoctions and presentation, it’s tiki: the décor of the bar, the strength of the drinks, the number of recipes that call for fire. This downtown Sacramento spot has put together a twist on the Pan Am called Tropical Boquitas, starting with a base of Zacapa Rum, aperitivo, lemon, and orgeat syrup. From there, the paradise-adjacent bar adds heirloom pineapple liqueur for that tropical vibe and a smoking cinnamon stick for a final theatrical flourish." - Robert Spuhler
