"Opening July 1 on the ground level of the Radisson Hotel Southfield-Detroit (26555 Telegraph Road), this new gastropub occupies a 3,200-square-foot space and emphasizes American comfort food made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The program pairs a full bar and cocktails with a line of house-made draft mocktails (branded as nonalcoholic social tonics), live entertainment, and monthly brunch parties. Menu highlights put twists on comfort staples, including a drunken pig sandwich of slow-roasted pulled pork in a red-wine barbecue sauce, lamb sliders, and ginger-and-thyme salmon with a lavender rice pilaf. The space is being designed by Lux Living 365 and built out by R.M. Remodeling Solutions. The concept is led by Ryan Eli Salter, who previously co-founded a leafy green–leaning sandwich shop, trained at the International Culinary Center, worked at Angel of Harlem, headed food service at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, and operated a full-service catering company and collaborative pop-up projects. The restaurant is hiring front- and back-of-house staff, and reservations open June 15." - Serena Maria Daniels
