"Opened in 2021 by local activist Barney Santos, this shipping container food hall advances a mission of keeping Gateway Cities communities invested in the local dining scene by promoting entrepreneurship from established and new restaurants in a historic space. Amid repurposed white containers attached like Legos, the outdoor patio is ideal for group hangs with craft beer that has the sweet-sour punch of Mexican candy alongside curtido-covered pupusas, Oaxacan coffee, and blistered pizzas. Most congregate on the patio during live jazz or bring-your-own-vinyl nights, and it’s an easy spot to spend an entire afternoon or evening. Parking is typically plentiful on and around Whittier Boulevard, and the food hall is child-friendly and dog-friendly." - Mona Holmes
