"I received an emailed menu announcing that 3rd & Fernwood, from Bayhaven Restaurant Group (of Charlotte’s Uptown Yolk and Leah & Louise fame), will open in May at 1100 Metropolitan Avenue in Charlotte, sometime before Memorial Day. The James Beard–nominated chef Greg Collier offers a Southern meat-and-three approach — think candied sweet potatoes and a fried chicken thigh sandwich with Carolina gold sauce — tempered with West African touches like fonio tabbouleh and field pea mafe.
