"Courting worldwide infamy, a Huntington Beach restaurant has adopted a “zero-tolerance policy against treasonous anti-American stupidity” and requires diners to be unvaccinated to enter, operating as a mask-free zone; owner Tony Roman told the LA Times he enforces the policy to defend American liberty and freedom. The restaurant has been using stunts for publicity since last year, including a billboard on La Cienega Boulevard—dozens of miles from its location—that read “leave the mask, take the cannoli,” a reference to The Godfather. Its stance has drawn scrutiny as cases and hospitalizations have risen sharply due to the delta variant and unvaccinated people, and I question how one is supposed to prove they’re unvaccinated when other bars are requiring patrons to show proof of vaccination." - Matthew Kang
