"The south suburban Orland Park restaurant was the subject of a personal-injury lawsuit after a woman says she was severely burned on December 7 when "piping hot" marinara sauce squirted from lasagna onto her left hand as she cut into it, leaving a huge scalding burn that caused her to miss work and suffer "great physical pain and mental anguish." The suit, filed in Cook County circuit court seeking more than $50,000, alleges staff was negligent for serving the lasagna too hot, failed to allow it to cool or warn customers, and did not train workers to serve food at the proper temperature. The 10-year-old establishment is owned by Patrick Concannon, who previously was consulting chef at Platiyo and whose family owned Don Juan." - Ashok Selvam
