"A barista at a Glenpool, Oklahoma coffee shop wrote the word “PIG” on cup labels used for an officer who had purchased coffee as a thank-you for emergency dispatchers on Thanksgiving; the officer noticed the labeling and the store manager offered to reprint the labels. The police chief, Johnny O’Mara, publicly called out the incident on Facebook and later appeared on Fox News asking for civility and for the employee’s firing to be reconsidered, after the company apologized and said the partner responsible had been terminated; the officer said the barista had apologized in person and claimed it was meant as a private joke with a coworker." - Jenny G.
