Freed’s Bakery opens a bake shop in the Arts District | Eater Vegas

"A 60-year-old, Food Network–featured bakery has opened a boutique outpost in the Arts District, bringing signature pastries to a smaller, gallery-like setting that includes a dessert-inspired mural by local artist Shan Michael Evans. The shop offers classic treats such as strawberry shortcake filled and iced with whipped cream and sliced strawberries; several cannoli variations made with sweet ricotta, cinnamon, and chocolate chips; and a Parisian cake of rich chocolate layers iced with Belgian chocolate–blended whipped cream and topped with chocolate shavings. This is the company’s sixth Las Vegas location, while the flagship store on S. Eastern Avenue continues to handle custom wedding and birthday cakes.
