A Starry Inside Look at Texas’s First-Ever Michelin Guide Ceremony | Eater Houston

"Hosted a high-energy kickoff for the inaugural Texas Michelin Guide, the venue was cloaked in Michelin red and populated by the Michelin mascot as chefs and guests mingled. A cocktail hour featured passed hors d’oeuvres, a jamón ibérico carving station, caviar, charcuterie cones, mini apple pies and live violin accompaniment. Dignitaries including the city mayor, the state’s tourism director and the first lady attended, and astronauts from the International Space Center delivered an opening message. Chefs from Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio filled the audience as awards were announced—eliciting everything from tears to loud cheers—before a confetti-filled finale and afterparties that continued in the cocktail area and around the city." - Brittany Britto Garley
