"In Midtown Reno I found novelty pizzas topped with penne pasta or optional French fries at Pizzava, which debuted with 31 varieties, including a full section of chef’s specials and breakfast styles. The penne pasta pizza features marinara and mozzarella, while the breakfast pizzas come with steak and eggs, bacon and eggs, or spinach; the kitchen sources its dough from Liberty Food & Wine Exchange (chef Mark Estee). Cousins Batuhan Zadeh and Sabri Arslankara opened the restaurant and named it for Hookava, the hookah bar Zadeh also owns, and the menu also rounds out with chicken wings, garlic knots, salads, pastas, and subs. They’re open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. and vow to deliver pizzas within 20 minutes inside the McCarran loop." - Susan Stapleton
