"After the storm, Savorez at 402 Chestnut St. began dishing out free food to the community on September 17, with staff cooking remaining items despite lacking power and offering those dishes, paired with corned beef, sausage, and chicken from Cast Iron Kitchen, to passersby for no charge; owner Sam Cahoo told WECT that they had a lot of product that made it through the storm and wanted to give back to people without power or food. The Latin-American-inspired menu includes dishes like tres cochinitos (grilled pork loin served atop black-bean-bacon-puree, along with pork belly and bean salad, arugula and pickled root vegetables) and vegeta comida (coconut rice with black beans, maduros, salsa fresca, citrus cabbage slaw, avocado and corn tortillas)." - Katie Toussaint
