"Hoboken has a shortage of rooftop bars, but Metropolis is doing its part to change that. It’s normally a wine bar, so you can be the cool customer sipping on the secret LTO cocktail while everyone else swirls their glass of Chablis. As with much of the area, its menu tilts seafood-forward, even though Metropolis resides near the waterfront but not quite on it. Slick (yet brick!) interior design lets the space breathe, but you probably came here to get fresh air with your Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon. That’s good thinking, because a small bites menu gives way to New American elevated dining, but the lounge and rooftop menu might walk away with the championship belt here. Deeply satisfying choices range from comfort to culinary with lobster rolls sharing space on the menu with crispy salmon skin." - Brendan McGinley
