"North Town Chicken replaced a former 1,750-square-foot Panda Express at the North Mesa Plaza, close to the intersection of Craig Road and Scott Robinson Boulevard. The counter-service interior features the restaurant's chicken mascot surfing, barbecuing, and lounging in a pool, surrounding a menu specializing in breaded chicken sandwiches served with coleslaw and pickles. Priced at $12 for a sandwich or a three-piece chicken finger meal, sides include fries, potato salad, green chili, mac and cheese, and the house version of Texas toast. The sauce selection begins with a “training wheels” heat level of ranch or blue cheese and rises up to the fiery “Spencer’s revenge.” Also serving a kid’s meal, for dessert, North Town offers the uncommon choice of apple pie or beignets." - Bradley Martin
