A second Big Jerk debuts Caribbean favorites on the westside - Eater Vegas
"Founded by Denver Broncos strong safety Quinton Carter and Jamaican-born Tramaine Stephens, Big Jerk is now open daily on the westside, inside the Plazas retail hub at 2800 W. Sahara Avenue. Located close to the Palace Station and replacing La Cabana Mexican Restaurant, the new space is currently only open for dinner, but the roomy upgrade features a bar and hookah lounge for the 21-plus crowd, also serving daily until 3 a.m. On the menu, jerk chicken, pork ribs, fried chicken, ribs, oxtail, Caribbean stew, and curried chicken or goat, plus patties, wings, shrimp, and à la carte choices. Sides include plantains, mac and cheese, yucca fries, and a sweet potato mash. The original, very popular Big Jerk restaurant in the southeast remains open daily at the Silverado Crossing retail center from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., closing at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 p.m. on Sunday." - Bradley Martin
