"A new destination for wood-fired pizzas and pasta, Hyde Park Wood Fired Kitchen has opened at 246 East NASA Parkway in Webster. The restaurant describes itself as a spot for “hearth cooking” centered on two wood-burning ovens, and its open kitchen is intended to make diners feel like they’re walking into someone’s home, according to owner Charles Nguyen, who also operates nearby Nobi Public House. Chef Scott Yorkey, formerly of Jake’s On The Lake in Lake Tahoe, leads the kitchen; the menu includes shareable appetizers like charred octopus and roasted cauliflower, pizzas, and mains such as roasted chicken and roasted short ribs sourced from Texas’s own 44 Farms, along with pastas like spaghetti slathered in short rib ragu, mac and cheese, and noodles sauced in pecan pesto. Hyde Park is open in Webster from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday, and noon to midnight on Sunday." - Amy McCarthy
