"I've watched this homegrown Korean eatery evolve from a roving food truck to a gas station counter and now into a family-friendly neighborhood restaurant with a new Takoma Park outpost at 7302 Carroll Avenue. The menu centers on familiar Korean comforts — scallion pancakes, sticky rice–filled egg-topped bibimbap bowls, and fusion burritos — while also enticing meat-free eaters with kimchi-pesto pasta, sandwiches stuffed with bean-based vegan croquettes and cauliflower slaw, vegetarian sushi, and shiitake mushroom–tofu tacos. The kitchen also offers spicy chicken quesadillas, beef bulgogi hoagies dressed with Sriracha mayo, and vegan lemon whoopie pies, and customers can customize rice bowls and specialty dishes with proteins such as marinated beef, pork, chicken, tofu, mushrooms, and kimchi. After a staggered rollout it has settled into a regular schedule, open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday; status: certified open." - Warren Rojas
