"Ranked among the world’s top pizzerias by 50 Top Pizza, the brand opened its first U.S. location in Wynwood late last month; the Miami outpost marks the 33rd location for the brand and its first location outside Italy. “We spent years perfecting our dough in Italy, and now we’re bringing that same exact recipe to Miami,” said Dan C. Lopes Cardozo, managing partner. The restaurant brings neighborhood Neapolitan-style pies made with dough shipped directly from Italy: three types are offered — a traditional Neapolitan-style classic dough, a multigrain version with wholemeal flour and mixed grains, and a carbon dough infused with vegetable charcoal available exclusively at the Miami location — and each batch arrives fresh from Italy, where it’s made using “mineral-rich water” and Italian flour without additives. Ingredients are sourced from Southern Italy, including tomatoes and cheeses certified by the Slow Food Association. The menu spans traditional and contemporary Neapolitan pizzas, with examples like the margherita with Lattari Mountains fiordilatte cheese, the truffle-forward Paradise Truffle topped with porcini mushrooms and truffle carpaccio, and the Mortazza Tua featuring pistachio mortadella and burrata; starters include bruschetta variations and a tagliere board loaded with cured meats, salads are served on house-made focaccia, and desserts include classics like tiramisu and a Nutella pizza. Inside the Wynwood space, vintage furniture imported from Italy, shelves of books, records, and decorative bikes create a casual atmosphere that matches the restaurant’s playful “Eat Pizza. Make Love” tagline, and the beverage list includes Italian craft beers and the brand’s private-label wines. It is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. at 2501 NW 2nd Avenue in Wynwood." - Olee Fowler
