"Harwood Arms, a British-style pub, will open at 2850 N. Harwood Street for dinner service on Monday, December 7. It's the ninth restaurant to open in Harwood District, alongside Happiest Hour, Mercat Bistro and Te Deseo. The menu at Harwood Arms boasts an international-meets-local approach, with classic British pub food like creamy beer cheese soup, perfectly tender London broil steaks and toasty fish and chips. The drink menu includes more than 50 beers and ciders; 40-plus bottles of whiskey, from Irish to Japanese labels; craft cocktails; and a special whiskey blend created exclusively for the pub in partnership with Makers Mark, which serves as the main ingredient in the Harwood Arms Private Select Old Fashioned cocktail. Harwood Hospitality Group also promises that the pub will "transport guests out of their ordinary day", with details like leather-covered benches, wood wainscoting to add a warm glow, and dark, cozy booths. The 4,000-square-foot space includes room to socially distance out and outdoor patio seating. Dallas's Harwood Arms is of course so-named because it's in the Harwood District, but ironically, the restaurant also shares a name with the only Michelin-starred pub in London. Harwood Arms will be open late seven nights a week, with brunch on the weekends. Hours are 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday." - Brittanie Shey
